Privacy Policy

This summary explains what Free QR Generator does and does not collect as of March 21, 2026.

QR generation data

The generators are designed to assemble common QR payloads directly in the browser. That means text, URLs, WiFi credentials, vCard fields, and pre-filled email data can be processed on the client side rather than being submitted to a custom backend form on this site. Users should still assume that anything encoded into a QR code can be read by anyone who scans it.

Analytics and diagnostics

The site currently loads Google Analytics through the Google tag script to measure page usage and general site performance. That means Google may receive standard analytics data such as page views, referrer information, browser characteristics, and approximate location signals. The analytics setup is separate from the QR payload itself.

What the site does not do

  • It does not require an account to generate the core QR workflows currently published on the site.
  • It does not run a custom backend upload flow for WiFi, vCard, email, or plain-text payloads.
  • It does not maintain a server-side QR library for later retrieval as part of the current public workflow.

Third-party destinations

If you create QR codes that point to third-party destinations such as PDFs on Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, or other websites, those destinations apply their own privacy and logging policies. Free QR Generator does not control those third-party systems.

Policy updates

This page should be updated whenever tracking, storage, ownership, or user-submitted workflows change materially. If the project later adds accounts, saved QR codes, file uploads, or server-side form processing, the privacy policy should be expanded before those features go live.

Editorial ownership

This policy is maintained by QR-Studio Editorial. The goal is to keep privacy statements aligned with the actual product behavior of the public generators and support guides.
